According to multiple reports, the New Orleans Pelicans are in serious trade talks with the Philadelphia 76ers for a deal that would send former #3 overall pick Jahlil Okafor from Philly to the Crescent City.

In the proposed trade, New Orleans would send their 2018 first round pick and center Alexis Ajinca  to the Sixers in exchange for the 21 year old center.

In his first two seasons, Okafor has struggled on defense, but shown promises on the offensive end of the floor. In 2015, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie first team.

Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reports New Orleans is engaged in trade talks with several teams about acquiring a center, hoping to unload their overpriced center Omer Asik in the deal, something Philly doesn't want to do.

Wojnarowski lists former All-Star but often injured center Brook Lopez as a player the Pelicans have engaged the Brooklyn Nets in trade discussions for.
