It appears as though the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will be losing one of their talented young players ao an SEC school.

David Johnson of 247Sports is reporting that redshirt sophomore tight end Chase Rogers has entered the NCAA transfer portal and will transfer to Ole Miss.

On Monday, it was disclosed that Rogers had suffered a broken foot and would likely miss most of, if not all of the 2019 college football season for Louisiana.

A  former Tennessee commitment, the 6-foot-4, 235-pound Rogers signed with UL in 2017.

A native of Pass Christian, Mississippi, Rogers appeared in 8 games as a freshman, including two as a starter, catching 6 passes for 54 yards and one touchdown.

Rogers was limited to only three games for the Cajuns last season, due to injury, and picked up a redshirt.

A former prep standout at St. Stanislaus, Rogers ended his high school career as Mississippi’s all-time high school leading receiver with 216 receptions, 3,729 receiving yards and 44 receiving touchdowns.
