Cecilia High's Raymond Calais Jr. impressed the high school football world with his incredible abilities at running back. The superb athlete and Ragin' Cajun football signee is also a standout athlete in track and field.

Calais was honored as the Gatorade Louisiana Track & Field athlete of the year today.

Last month, Calais dominated at state, finishing first in the 100-meter (10.59 seconds) and 200-meter (21.21 seconds) sprints. He also won a state championship as part of 4x100 and 4x200 team competitions, running as the anchor for the Cecilia Bulldogs.

Nicknamed "The Great Calais", Raymond finished his senior season in football with 2,308 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns.

At 5'9, 170 pounds, the youngster is hoping to earn a spot in the Cajuns RB rotation this fall.
