Kyle Clement and Eric Carter played their final games as Ragin’ Cajuns in front of the fans at M.L. Tigue Moore Field, but they weren’t ready to say goodbye yet.

Arizona ended the Cajuns' season Monday night with a 3-1 defeat, but Clement and Carter played like true seniors.

Carter came out of the bullpen to pitch five crucial innings to give the Cajuns a chance to come back, and Clement provided the only Cajun run with a monster solo home run. In the end, it wasn’t enough to keep their season alive. They still had to meet with the media after the game, but the players (and Coach Robe) tried to keep their heads high.

Clement and Carter both said that years down the line, they will still have their Cajun brothers by their side as friends. They both also gave praise to the fans in the stands that cheered them on in their careers.

“I think we have the greatest fans in the country, and I stick by that,” Clement said.

As always, Head Coach Tony Robichaux starts off the press conference himself then hands it to the players. Even after two emotional losses in a day, they all conduct themselves with class and honor.
