Ragin' Cajun Softball took their lumps up in Eugene, Oregon, but veteran leader Shellie Landry thinks the team learned some valuable lessons for postseason play.

The first two games against the top team in the country resulted in mercy rule losses, but the final 2-1 loss in eight innings to end the series was encouraging. It showed fight, a term Head Coach Michael Lotief (who will travel with the team to their series in Monroe) loves to use.

Landry is second on the team with 16 HR's and 49 RBI's, but she is a leader on the team for much more than statistics. Hardcore Cajun fans are familiar with her story. Toughness appears to be in her makeup. It shouldn't be a surprise that Landry is looking at the series sweep in Oregon in terms of how to improve and not let it happen again.

In her press conference, Landry speaks on the team's performance in Eugene, how it helps them moving toward postseason play and displays her skills as a vocal leader.
