Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns big man Bryce Washington landed on an elite list this week when named to the 2016-17 National Association Of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.

Washington is one of only 8 athletes to make the list. All athletes on the Honors Court meet the following guidelines:
1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
2. Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2016-17 academic year.
3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
4. Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.

As a second-team All Sun Belt performer last season, Washington averaged a double-double (13.5 pts, 11.2 rebs), leading the Cajuns in minutes per game, blocks and double-doubles.

In May, he was named the UL male Student Athlete of the Year.

The New Orleans native will be a major piece for the Cajun basketball team in his upcoming senior season.
