Ragin' Cajun Basketball is growing under Head Coach Bob Marlin, and it looks like he brought another transfer into the program.

Joshua Parrott, a writer for Basketball Times, broke the news on Twitter that 6'1"-175 lb Guard Amin Torres will be making the move from Nicholls State to Lafayette. He played 26 games his freshman season for the Colonels, and the former John Ehret High School, which is a connection he shares another Cajun that fans in the Orlando area are now growing to love.

Expecting him to come in and play like Elfrid would be a little unfair, but Coach Marlin would probably tell you having more players to work with is a good issue to figure out. The university and the team have not released an official statement to this point.

In the offseason, recruiting buzz and transfer rumors alway run rampant. If Torres is headed to Acadiana, make sure he gets a warm welcome upon arrival, Cajun Nation.
