Last year the University of Houston was very close from going unranked in the preseason, to a BCS bowl. The Cougars dream ended when Southern Miss crushed them in the C-USA title game. Of all the unranked teams, who might break through into the BCS this year?

Louisiana Tech had a solid season a year ago at 8-5. TCU slipped by Tech in the Poinsettia bowl, and it took an overtime for Mississippi State to squeak by LA Tech. Sonny Dykes' squad is expected to be even better this year. Their biggest test? Week 1 against Texas A&M in Shreveport. It's not crazy to think that if the Bulldogs can get by the Aggies, their schedule sets up nicely for them. With a Senior quarterback in Colby Cameron, Dykes' squad hopes to make a little noise in the BCS. Is it expected? No. Is it impossible? Also no.
