Portugal fans all around the world celebrated their EURO 2016 Championship, and one of the planet's best players watched his team win it from the sideline.

Christiano Ronaldo is a god in the soccer world. Women swoon over his good looks and physique, and men are jealous of his abilities on the pitch. He's the heart and soul of the Portuguese national team and the face of the country, when it comes to sports. In the first half of the EURO 2016 Final, the entire world watched as Portugal's leader cried on the pitch.

People cried with him. The video below starts off with his tears right after he collided with a French player. When you see the replay, it doesn't even looks that serious.

Knee injuries are never pretty, and this one could sideline one of the best players in the world for a very long time.


He left the field on a stretcher, but he wasn't leaving his brothers. After getting his knee wrapped up, he got a pair of crutches and started hobbling around the sideline like a coach. His goal-scoring ability was missed during regular time, and when France took them to extra time tied, 0-0, Ronaldo had to watch nervously as the pressure got higher.

Earlier in the game, he shed tears of pain and suffering on the pitch. At the 109' mark, the waterworks started again, but this time they were tears of joy.

With Ronaldo watching, Eder got the ball outside of the box and let it rip. His strike was true, and it was the moment that ensured Portugal a 1-0 victory.
