LSU head coach Paul Manieri made it official today:  sophomore lefty Jared Poche will get the start on Sunday when the #2 national seed Tigers take on #7 TCU in their first game at the Men's College World Series in Omaha.

The move doesn't come as a surprise.  Poche has pitched well in his regional and super regional starts, and TCU has a plethora of left handed hitters in their lineup.  The sophomore from Lutcher is 9-1 with a 2.97 ERA in 17 starts in 2015.

TCU coach Jim Schlossnagle will counter with senior right hander Preston Morrison.  The Waxhaw, NC native is 11-3 on the season with a 2.55 ERA.

Manieri said freshman Alex Lange will get the start on Tuesday.

The two teams meet Sunday afternoon at 2pm at TD Ameritrade Park n Omaha.
