Redshirt sophomore forward Scott Plaisance will transfer from the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns basketball program.

Head coach Bob Marlin made the announcement Thursday afternoon.

We appreciate everything Scottie has done for our program and wish him nothing but the best in the future.  It's disappointing to have such a great young man leave our program, but that (transferring) has become part of the norm in college basketball. - Bob Marlin in a prepared release by UL Sports Information.

Plaisance played his high school basketball at Country Day HS in Metairie and was part of the recruiting class that included starters Bryce Washington and Johnathan Stove.  He sat out his freshman year and saw limited action the past season and a half.

This season he appeared in eleven games with one start.  He scored a career high ten points in the start against Nicholls State and had a season high 15 minutes in the game against Loyola (NO).

He did not see action in either of the last two games.
