Kavell Bigby-Williams made a strong enough impression with the New Orleans Pelicans summer league team to earn an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Keith Smith of Yahoo Sports and Andrew Lopez.

Bigby-Williams, a 6'11, 250 pound forward who transferred to LSU last year from Oregon, still has a long way to go to earn a spot on a regular-season NBA roster.

An Exhibit 10 contract makes it likely he will sign with the Pelicans G-League team, the Erie Bayhawks.

If Bigby-Williams is cut in training camp, he would receive a bonus anywhere from $5,000 to $50,000 if he goes to the G League and suits up for the Bayhawks.

Overall, it means the Pelicans value him enough as a prospect to want to keep him in their franchise system.
