The New Orleans Pelicans continue to bring back last year's squad, agreeing to a deal with another free agent who will return to the team.

Forward Luke Babbitt has agreed to a two year deal worth approximately $2.5 million, according to ESPN NBA reporter Marc Stein.

That projected number indicates Babbitt's deal is for slightly more than the veteran's minimum.

New Orleans owned Babbitt's early bird rights, meaning they did not use the remainder of their Mid-Level exception or Bi-Annual exception.

Babbitt, a 6'9, 225 pound stretch forward, played in 63 games last season, including 19 starts. The strongest asset of his game was his 3 point shooting, where he made 51.3% of his 115 attempts from beyond the arc.

News of Babbitt wraps up a busy 24 hours for the Pelicans, who saw their superstar Anthony Davis officially sign his 5-year extension, although the deal was agreed upon last week.

Babbitt joins centers Omer Asik, Alexis Ajinca, and forward Dante Cunningham as free agents who returned to the Pelicans.

New Orleans has yet to sign a free agent who was not on last year's roster.
