Pelicans head coach Monty Williams thinks the Warriors fans are so good it could be illegal.

Speaking to the media after this morning's shootaround, Williams was asked about the atmosphere at Oracle Arena for an opposing team.

"I'm not so sure the decibel level is legal, and I'm serious," Williams said of Oracle Arena. "They've done studies on that. For the competition committee, there's got to be something to that. It does get a little out of hand."

Williams wasn't suggesting Golden State was using any kind of foul play to establish the noise level, rather, he was simply complimenting their fans.

"Their fans, I've talked about it for years, they have some of the best fans in the league," noted Williams. "They show up early and the music before the game, they're playing old school music right above your locker room, and you're like 'these people are crazy man'. This is pretty cool."

Monty thinks his team settled down in game 1 after they got use to the raucous environment and realized it was just "basketball".

Look for Oracle Arena to be just as loud tonight, potentially past the "legal level", as the Pelicans try to steal game 2 of their best of seven series.

Tip-off is set for 9:40.
