Former LSU, and current New York Giants star Odell Beckham, Jr. now has the richest shoe deal in NFL history.

The 24-year old Beckham is staying with Nike, which outbid adidas, in a deal reportedly worth $5 million a year, two times more than any previous deal.

Beckham's initial deal with Nike was set to expire this month, and adidas was interested, but Nike had a match clause, allowing them to match any offer to the star receiver during a 10-day window.

That 10-day match window ended on Wednesday, with Nike exercising its right to match the deal, which is believed to be worth more than $29 Million over the 5-year length.

There are also reportedly several incentives in the deal, which could make it worth as much as $48 million over 8 years.

A native of Baton Rouge, and a graduate of Newman High School in New Orleans, Beckham has been named to the Pro Bowl 3 times over his 3-year NFL career, accumulating 288 catches for 4,122 yards and 35 touchdowns.

The 12th-overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Beckham caught a career-high 101 passes for 1,367 yards and 10 scores last season.
