Opelousas Catholic High School standout Keon Coleman, arguably the top two-sport star in the area, has received his first college football scholarship offer from a Power Five school.

A receiver/safety, Coleman was recently offered by the Virginia Cavaliers, members of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Just last week, Coleman received his first football offer, from Sun Belt Conference member South Alabama.

A 6-foot-4 guard in basketball, Coleman has also reportedly received roundball offers from UNO, Coastal Carolina, Nicholls St., and McNeese, while receiving interest from many others, including Louisiana.

On the football side, Coleman has been looked at closely by Tulane, Northwestern State, Nicholls State, Southeastern, & UNO, who have all shown serious interest, as well as UL.

Coleman will begin his junior year in the fall and is scheduled to graduate in 2021.

Currently a junior, Coleman is scheduled to graduate in 2021.
