Notre Dame Outlasts Louisville–In FIVE overtimes
It was the longest regular season game in Big East Conference history.
And it all came down to a layup and two free throws in the final minute as Notre Dame (19-5, 7-4) defeated #12 Louisville (19-5, 7-4), 104-101 in five overtimes.
Louisville had a chance to tie at the end, but Russ Smith misfired on a three point attempt.
The Cardinals led by eight points, 56-48 with 51 seconds left. But the Irish hit a trio of three pointers and an old-fashioned three point play to close on a 12-4 run to tie the game at 60 at the end of regulation.
