Northwest’s Katlyn Manuel Offered by UTSA

A local prep girls basketball standout has been offered a scholarship by a college from a neighboring state.

Katlyn Manuel, a student at Northwest High School in Opelousas, was recently offered by UTEP.

A 6-foot center, Manuel was named a First-Team Class 5-3A All-District selection, as well as a Max Preps Second-Team All-State pick this season.

Currently a junior, Manuel is scheduled to graduate high school in the spring of 2021.
