The top six seeds are all gone.

Tonight, the teams that finished fourth and fifth in the Western Division will play for the Sun Belt Championship.

North Texas, the preseason favorite that faltered badly in the second half of the season, meets Arkansas-Little Rock, who features SBC Player of the Year Solomon Bozeman for an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

The Mean Green have been a team on a mission, beating all three of their opponents by double digits on their way to the final.  Last night, Tristan Thompson had his third consecutive monster game to lead the Mean Green past #3 East Western Kentucky 81-62.  Thompson hit his first four three-point attempts on his way to a game-high 28 points.  Thompson has scored 80 points in his three tournament games.  Louisiana's Tiras Wade has the record with 82 points.  Wade did his feat in three games.

North Texas trailed 39-38 but then the Mean Green went on a 12-2 run to take control.

UALR knocked off East #2 Middle Tennessee 65-56.  The Trojans held the Blue Raiders to just 36% shooting from the field.  Bozeman had 23 points, including 19-22 from the free throw line to lead the Trojans (18-16).

UALR is making its first tournament finals appearance since 1996.  They have never won the tournament.

The final will be nationally televised tonight at 6pm on ESPN.
