Despite the fact that the New Orleans Saints have won 11 of the last 13 games against their hated rival, the Atlanta Falcons always feel the need to talk trash and make fools of themselves.

Take for instance yesterday. Before they took the field to lose to the Saints again, several players taunted their former teammate Curtis Lofton, who signed with New Orleans last offseason. It was more about when they taunted him that drew the ire of several Saints.

According to Michael Silver of Yahoo! sports, Atlanta players interrupted the Saints walk through drills, running through their pregame routine, and degrading Lofton, among others.

There's a time and a place for taunting and trash talking. The opponent's pregame ritual is not one of them.

Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma told Falcons coach Mike Smith that his players were acting "classless." To no one's surprise, Smith said or did nothing. (pictured left)

New Orleans linebacker Scott Shanle was inactive on Sunday, but has been a member of the Saints during the last 7 year stretch when New Orleans has owned the rivalry with the Falcons. He had plenty to say to Silver about the dirty birds. Click here to read about it.
