The New Orleans Saints are two days removed from what was a very exciting and historic victory. They completed a 15 point comeback in the 4th quarter against the Washington Redskins.

They were able to notch their eighth straight victory to improve their record to 8-2 this season. This win was also very significant because it ensures that there will not be a fourth straight losing season for New Orleans.

However, in this weeks ESPN NFL Power Rankings they fell.... The top five teams in the league now look like this:

  1. Philadelphia Eagles (9-1)
  2. New Eng;and Patroits (8-2)
  3. Pittsburgh Steelers (8-2)
  4. Minnesota Vikings (8-2)
  5. New Orleans Saints (8-2)

The Saints were third in the power rankings last week and despite their narrow overtime victory in week 11 they fell two spots to number 5.

The two teams that jumped the Saints, the Vikings and Steelers, both had impressive victories last week.

The Steelers dominated the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football, 40-17.

As for the Vikings, they garnered a big win at home against a Los Angeles Rams team who had been rolling, 24-7. The vikings defense has been dominate of late and were able hold the Rams high-flying offense down.

WHAT'S ON TAP FOR WEEK 12?

The Saints will travel to Los Angeles to take on the aforementioned Rams squad who are ranked just behind them at 6 in this weeks power rankings. The Rams will be without one of their best offensive weapons in Robert Woods. The Saints will be without one of their top defenders in Alex Okafor.
