A couple months back the NFL drew up a new policy in order to try and avoid more National Anthem protests by its players due to the uproar it had caused among the fan bases. This new policy requires every player to stand during the National Anthem or remain in the locker room if they do not wish to stand.

We were wondering how the NFL Players Association would respond to that policy and today we have our answer:

Will the NFL and Roger Goodell give on this matter and find a middle ground or will they try and hold firm to their original policy? I for one hope they're able to find a solution to the issue, at least the NFL seems willing to enter those discussions.

Perhaps the NFL went overboard with the anthem policy so that NFLPA would take notice and take action that would allow both sides to enter into a discussion in order to come up with a solution. Time will tell.
