New York Mets 3B David Wright is truly one of the good guys in sports. He has upheld this reputation for the better part of 8 years. Last night, the 6 time All-Star blasted a homer to center field to tie the game versus the Yankees at 1. (The Mets went on to win the game 2-1) What took place before the HR, and what proceeded it, is truly something special.

According to various reports, a special needs Mets fan named Max Rubin asked Wright to hit a homerun as he was stepping up to the plate. After Wright crossed home plate, he didn't trot back to the dugout. He trotted over to the stands, wrapped his arms around Rubin, and embraced him with a hug. Warning. This video may cause you to tear up a little bit. But in a good way.
