The NBA released their season schedule Thursday night, with the Pelicans learning how their schedule stacks up.

New Orleans hosts the Denver Nuggets on October 26th to tip-off the season. Two days later, they host the Western Conference champion Golden State Warriors in a nationally televised game on ESPN.

“This is always an exciting time of year as we build anticipation for the upcoming 2016-17 season,” noted Pelicans Owner Tom Benson in a statement. “Mickey Loomis, Dell Demps and Alvin Gentry have worked diligently this offseason to put a product on the court that Pelicans fans will be extremely proud of. We’re excited to add a group of high character, talented and hard-working players to our team. We couldn’t be happier with the way this offseason has gone and are extremely excited about the future of our organization.”
