UL senior shortstop Nerissa Myers

 

Louisiana Ragin' Cajun shortstop Nerissa Myers was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week, by the league office, on Monday.

The senior, from Petal, Mississippi hit a .667 for the week, last week, going 4-for-9, with a double, a home run, four runs scored, and five RBI's.

The honor marks the second time this season that Myers has won the award, as well as the fourth time in her career.

Myers will lead the Cajuns, who have won 19-consecutive games, into their final regular season series of the year this weekend, when they travel to Monroe, to take on the ULM Warhawks, in a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference series.
