NBA Power Rankings, Pelicans Moving Up

The NBA season is off and running and the New Orleans Pelicans have burst out of the gate to a 2-0 start beating the Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings.

We'll be keeping an eye on not only the Pelicans but the Top 5 in the NBA on a weekly basis, you can check out the entire list here.

New Orleans came into this season ranked as the 12th powerful team in the league and this week they had one of the biggest jumps in the league to number 4 this week.

Here is this week's Top 5:

Golden State Warriors (2-1)-Stayed steady at one
Toronto Raptors (3-0)-Moved up one spot
Boston Celtics (2-1)-Fell one spot
New Orleans Pelicans (2-0)-Moved up eight spots
Houston Rockets (1-2)-Fell one spot

It was a solid start for the Pelicans and this week they'll play three home games. They kick it off with the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday, then welcome in the Brooklyn Nets on Friday and finish up the week Saturday with the Utah Jazz.
