Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic both won their semifinal matches at Wimbledon in 4 sets. Much to the dismay of the local British fans, Nadal eliminated Andy Murray 5-7, 6-2, 6-2, 6-4. Djokovic, who replaced Nadal as the No. 1 ranked player with his win today, defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6 (4), 6-2, 6-7 (9), 6-3. Djokovic will meet Nadal in the Wimbledon final on Sunday. Here is more from the AP and espn.com, followed by more blogging from Scott.

Djokovic, who improved his record to 47-1 this year and is a two-time Australian Open champion, will replace Nadal as the top-ranked player on Monday. Reaching the final at the All England Club was a relief after losing twice at the same stage.

This Wimbledon final has a chance to be epic. Can it match the Federer vs. Nadal final in 2008? No. So maybe "epic" is too strong a word. However, the two best players in the world right now are playing for the most prestigious grand slam trophy in tennis. It doesn't get much better than that.
