Myers, Wallace Earn Sun Belt Honors

Louisiana shortstop Nerissa Myers and pitcher Jordan Wallace led the Ragin' Cajuns to a three game sweep of North Texas over the weekend.  And, both have been honored by the Sun Belt Conference for their efforts, being named Sun Belt Conference player and pitcher of the week.

Myers, playing in her first games since February, went six for nine at the plate, with three homers and eight RBI.  Myers homered in her first at bat.

Wallace, meanwhile, earned two wins and a save in the circle for the Cajuns. Wallace pitched

14 shutout innings and struck out 32 in recording 42 outs.

The Cajuns have won seven in a row and host Southern Mississippi Wednesday in a doubleheader at Lamson Park.
