Most Misspelled Word In Louisiana
We have crawfish, cher, and allons down, but there's one that seems to get to us the most.
Just in time for the Spelling Bee finals, Google has released their annual "America's Most Misspelled Words" list. It shows what the most misspelled word in every state is. According to Google, the most misspelled word in the country is "beautiful," which appears as the top misspelled word in 11 states.
So, what was Louisiana's most misspelled word? That would be "favorite." How are y'all spelling that? "Favourite?"

Florida: hors d’oeuvres
New Hampshire: subtle
New Jersey: resume
New Mexico: permanently
New York: resume
North Carolina: beautiful
North Dakota: yacht
Rhode Island: dying
South Carolina: beginning
South Dakota: chaos
Washington, D.C.: permanent
West Virginia: apparel
Some of these just don't even seem fair! "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" is a made up word. Also, "hors d’oeuvres" is a French word. And both "gray" and "grey" are acceptable spellings.
