For the third-consecutive week, the Mississippi St. Bulldogs are the top team in the latest Associated Press top 25 college football poll, which was released on Sunday.

The Bulldogs, who defeated Kentucky, 45-31, to improve to 7-0 last Saturday, received 46 of a possible 60 first-place votes.

Florida State, who was idle last week, is 7-0 on the season, and received the remaining 14 first-place votes. They stay at number two for the third-straight week.

Alabama, who rolled over Tennessee, 34-20, last Saturday, and is 7-1 on the season, is ranked third, while Auburn, who outscored South Carolina, 42-35, to improve to 6-1, is ranked fourth, making it three SEC teams ranks in the top four spots.

Oregon, who improved to 7-1wit h a 59-41 win over California, is ranked fifth this week.

Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Michigan St., Georgia, and TCU round out the top ten, at 6-10, respectively.

11-15 consists of Kansas St., Baylor, Ohio St., Arizona, and Arizona St., with LSU, Nebraska, Utah, Oklahoma, and West Virginia in the 16-20 spots.

Finally, at 21-25 this week, it’s East Carolina, Clemson, Marshall, Duke, and UCLA.

Duke is the newcomer to this week’s poll, while USC dropped out.
