This is video of a minor league baseball player striking out, after seeing only one pitch, during his at-bat.

The rather strange occurrence took place last Friday, during a Double-A match-up between the Midland Rock Hounds, an affiliate of the Oakland A's, and the Corpus Christi Hooks, an affiliate of the Houston Astros.

Nick Tropeano was on the mound for the Hooks, facing Rock Hounds third baseman Vinnie Catricala, who took a pitch that home plate umpire Ron Teague called a strike.

Catricala didn't like the call, so he stepped out of the box, to show his displeasure.

Teague then called a quick second strike on Catricala, for not stepping back in the box, and then a quick third strike, resulting in a strikeout.

As you might guess, Catricala was rather upset, and was ejected by Teague after a verbal exchange.
