The New York Mets defeated the Chicago Cubs, 4-1, Sunday night at Citi Field in New York, NY, to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven National League Championship Series.

The Mets struck first, in the opening inning off of Cubs starter Jake Arrieta, when David Wright doubled to deep center, scoring Curtis Granderson with the game's first run:

One batter later, David Murphy homered to right, widening the New York lead to 3-0:

In the bottom of the third the Mets made it 4-0, when Granderson scored on an infield single off the bat of Yoenis Cespedes:

The lone Chicago run came in the top of the sixth, when Kris Bryant doubled home Dexter Fowler:

It was too little, too late, however, as Jeurys Familia got Chris Coghlan to ground out to first for the final out, earning the save and giving the Mets a 2-0 series lead:

Noah Syndegard recorded the win for the Mets, while Arrieta suffered the loss for the Cubs.
