A former commitment to a Big XII school intends to play his Division I college football for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.

Mekhi Williams-Garner, a safety from Navarro (Texas) College has verbally committed to Louisiana.

A native of Mesquite, Texas, Williams-Garner played his high school football at Mesquite Poteet High School, before committing to Texas Tech.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Williams-Garner decommitted to Texas Tech, before attending Navarro.

Williams-Garner, who will have three years of eligibility remaining at UL, was also reportedly offered by such schools as Utah St., Air Force, North Texas, UTSA, and Navy.
