Mainieri to Remain at LSU

Paul Mainieri had some feelers from another school, but wants to remain at LSU.

In an exclusive interview with The Advocate" Mainieri confirmed he had feelers from another school, believed to be Texas.  He declined to name the school, but it was previously reported by theadvocate.com, D1Baseball and other sources to be the University of Texas.

Mainieri said the process happened over the last two days.  He said, in the end, his team, his family his coaching staff and his love for LSU were the determining factors.

Mainieri said he was not offered a job and declined to say whether he was offered a pay raise by the LSU administration.
