One member of the LSU Tigers is among the more than 250 NCAA softball players from around the country who have entered their names into the transfer portal.

Pitcher Baylie Thornhill has put her name in the transfer portal, and likely won't return in 2020.

A native of Baton Rouge, and a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy, Thornhill did not appear in any games for LSU in 2019, after redshirting as a freshman at South Alabama in 2018.

A three-time all-district performer, in the prep ranks, Thornhill went 16-9 while 204 strikeouts as a senior at St. Joseph's, while compiling career 38 wins, to go along with 501 strikeouts.

Thornton's sister, Elyse, hit .285 with 8 home runs as a senior for the Tigers in 2019.
