LSU shooting guard Branden Jenkins is leaving the basketball team with plans to transfer elsewhere for his senior season, according to Andrew Lopez of The Times Picayune.

Jenkins joins guard Kieran Hayward, who announced last week he was leaving LSU for an opportunity with a different program.

Jenkins played JUCO ball at Lee College in Baytown, Texas, before committing to the Tigers.

Prior to last season, an untreated leg injury was discovered during a physical. Treating it with surgery, the injury caused Jenkins to miss the first 11 games of last season, leading to sparse playing time.

He did see the floor in 18 of the last 20 games last season, earning two starts. He 8.4 minute, 1.3 points, 0.6 assists and 0.6 rebounds per game.

Jenkins and Hayward are the only LSU players who have left since new coach Will Wade took over the program on March 20, replacing Johnny Jones.
