The 25th-ranked LSU Tigers return to the gridiron on Saturday evening, will they play host to the Syracuse Orange in non-conference action.

The contest, which will be televised on ESPN2, will mark the second home game of the year for LSU.

LSU, who dropped their SEC opener on Saturday, falling to Mississippi St., 37-7, is 2-1, overall, and 0-1 in league play.

Offensively, the Tigers are scoring at an average of 26.3 points-per-game, while accumulating 401.0 yards of offense, including 217.0 rushing yards and 184.0 passing yards.

Defensively, LSU is holding opponents to an average of 15.7 points a contest, to go along with 268.0 total yards, including 152.0 pass yards, and 116.0 rush yards.

LSU is paced by quarterback Danny Etling, who has completed 35-of-60 passes for 535 yards and one touchdown, and running back Derrius Guice, who has rushed 300 yards and 4 touchdowns, on 57 attempts.

Syracuse defeated Central Michigan last week, 47-17, to improve to 2-1 on the year.

Offensively, the Orange have scored an average of 38.0 points per game, to go along with 491.0 yards of offense, including 193.7 rush yards and 297.3 passing yards.

Defensively, Syracuse has allowed an average of 18.0 points, to go along with 304.0 total yards, including 84.3 rush yards and 219.7 pass yards.

The Orange are led by quarterback Eric Dungey, who has thrown for 787 yards and 5 touchdowns, while rushing for another 209 yards and 4 scores.

This will be the 4th meeting between the two schools, with LSU leading the all-time series, 2-1.

LSU won the last meeting, 34-24, back in 2015.

Kickoff time at Tiger Stadium is scheduled for just after 6 pm.
