The 9th-ranked LSU Tigers are back in action on Saturday evening, when coach Les Miles’ squad plays host to the Eastern Michigan Eagles.

The game marks the second of two-consecutive non-conference tilts for the Tigers, before they get back into SEC play on October 10, against South Carolina.

LSU ran their season-opening win streak to three games last Saturday, defeating the Syracuse Orange, 34-24, to improve to 3-0, overall, while remaining 2-0 in SEC play.

Offensively, LSU is averaging 33.3 points, 415.7 total yards, 315.0 rushing yards, and 100.7 passing yards per game, while allowing 21.3 points, 306.3 total yards, 110.0 rushing yards, and 196.3 passing yards a contest, defensively.

LSU is led by sophomore running back Leonard Fournette, who has piled up 652 rushing yards, including eight touchdowns, this season.

Eastern Michigan, a member of the MAC, lost to Army last week, 58-36, to fall to 1-3, overall, while standing at 0-1 in conference play.

The Eagles, offensively, are averaging 33.8 points per game, along with 435.5 yards, including 248.5 passing yards and 187.0 rushing yards, while allowing 38.3 points, 500.3 total yards, including 127.0 passing yards and 373.3 rushing yards.

Eastern Michigan is paced by sophomore Brogan Roback, who has thrown for 877 yards and five touchdowns, so far this season.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
