The 12th-ranked LSU Tigers play their 2017 home opener on Saturday, taking on the Chattanooga Mocs in a non-conference affair.

The game will be televised on the SEC Network.

LSU, who defeated BYU, 27-0, in their season opener last week, is 1-0 on the young season.

Offensively, the Tigers scored 27 points last week, while accumulating 479 yards of offense, including 296 rushing yards and 183 passing yards.

Defensively, LSU held BYU to only 97 total yards, including 102 pass yards, and negative 5 rush yards.

LSU is paced by quarterback Danny Etling, who completed 14-of-17 passes for 171 yards last week, and running back Derrius Guice, who rushed 122 yards, including 2 touchdowns, on 27 attempts.

Chattanooga, an FCS school out of the Southern Conference, is 0-1 on the season, after falling to Jacksonville St., 27-13, last week.

Offensively, the Mocs scored 13 points per game last week, to go along with 294 yards of offense, including 76 rush yards and 218 passing yards.

Defensively, Chattanooga allowed 366 total yards last week, including 184 rush yards and 182 pass yards.

Chattanooga is led by quarterback Nick Tiano, who threw for 218 yards and one touchdown last week, while rushing for another 68 yards on the ground.

This will only be the second-ever meeting between the two schools, with LSU winning the only other contest, 26-19, back in 1954.

Kickoff time at Tiger Stadium is set for 6:30 pm.
