The LSU Tiger men's basketball team kept their early season record spotless on Tuesday night, defeating the Chattanooga Mocs, 80-67, in non-conference action at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge.

The Tigers led at the half, 42-30, but the Mocs got to within two points midway through the second half, but LSU pulled away, and went to the 13-point win.

LSU out-shot Chattanooga from the field, 48%-37%, and also out-rebounded the Mocs by a 44-33 count.

Andre Stringer and Johnny O'Bryant III led the way for the Tigers, scoring 18 points each, while Z. Mason paced the Mocs in a losing cause, with a game-high 22 points.

With the win, LSU improved to 6-0 on the year, while Chattanooga fell to 2-7.

LSU returns to action on Friday evening, when they travel to Boise, Idaho, to take on the Boise St. Broncos in non-conference play.
