LSU Center Dodd & DB Lewis Both Eligible For Florida After Ejections

Two LSU Tigers ejected from last week's game versus Missouri will be eligible to play Saturday at Florida, LSU SID Michael Bonnette confirmed today.

LSU center Andy Dodd was ejected in the 4th quarter of last week's game following a small physical skirmish with Missouri defensive end Charles Harris after the whistle.

It was technically Dodd's second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after both LSU and Missouri received full team unsportsmanlike conduct penalties at the end of the first half when the two teams had to be separated before running into the locker room.

If a player is ejected in a half, by rule, he typically has to sit out the following half. Being that Dodd's ejection took place in the second half, his availability for the first half of Saturday's game at Florida was in question. However, Bonnette explained the University got clarification from the SEC regarding Dodd's ejection, and it was determined he would not be suspended for the first half against the Gators.

LSU defensive back Xavier Lewis was also ejected last week after being called for a personal foul "targeting" penalty. However, since the ejection took place in the first half, he sat out the second half against Missouri, making him available for all 4 quarters this week.

LSU travels to Gainesville to face #18 Florida this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 11am.
