The LSU Tiger men's basketball team opened up a three-game homestand by defeating the Boise St. Broncos, 64-45, in non-conference action, Saturday night, in Baton Rouge.

LSU led a close game at the half, 25-22, but outscored Boise St in the second half, 39-23, to coast to the 19-point win.

The Tigers out-shot the Broncos from the field, 50%-30%, and also out-rebounded the Broncos, 37-31.

Justin Hamilton led the way for LSU, with 14 points, while Anthony Hickey chipped in with 11.

Derrick Marks paced Boise St. in a losing cause, with 12 points.

With the win, LSU improves to 6-3 on the year, while Boise St. drops to 8-2.
