The 8th-ranked LSU Tigers captured another convincing victory in the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama on Thursday, defeating the Arkansas Razorbacks, 7-2, in winners bracket game.

The win was the sixth-straight for LSU, who has won the postseason SEC Tournament in four of the past six years.

Arkansas scored a run in the top half of the first inning, before the Tigers scored seven-unanswered runs, including one in the second, two in the third, one in the sixth, two in the seventh, and one in the eighth, as they went on to the five-run win.

Catcher Tyler Moore led the way at the plate for LSU, going 3-for-4, with a double, a home run, two runs scored, and two runs batted in.

Right-fielder Mark Laird, shortstop Alex Bregman, and left-fielder Sean McMullen also contributed two hits apiece, as the Tigers outhit the Razorbacks, 12-5.

Aaron Nola (10-1) recorded the win for LSU, allowing five hits and two earned runs over 7.1 innings, while Colin Poche (3-1) suffered the loss for Arkansas.

With the victory, the Tigers improved to 42-14-1 on the season, while the Razorbacks fell to 37-22.

LSU advances in the winners bracket where they will take on Arkansas on Thursday at 4:30 pm.
