The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team secured the #2 seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament last night when they defeated ULM 9-6 but the Cajuns wanted to continue their winning streak over the Warhawks in today's game. The Cajuns would get off to a hot start and never look back as they defeat the Warhawks 7-2 to defeat them for the 25th straight time.

The Cajuns got the scoring going early in the bottom of the 1st when they got 4 runs on 5 hits. Hayden Cantrelle would lead off the game with a double and would score on a throwing error when Gavin Bourgeios got a bunt single and Bourgeios would advance to 3rd. Bourgeios would score on an RBI ground out from Daniel Lahare. Lott would get an RBI triple to continue his hot streak as the Cajuns would score their 4th run of the inning.

The Cajuns would add another run in the bottom of the 2nd as they would run into a double play but Windham who was at 3rd base would score on the play. Cantrelle would get his 4th home run of the year and and his 3rd of the series in the bottom of the 5th and an RBI single from Kennon Fontenot would put the Cajuns up 7-0 after 5 innings of play.

The Warhawks would chip into the Cajuns lead as they would score 2 on a 2 RBI double to make the score 7-2 but that's all that the Warhawks would get in the game as the Cajuns finish them off and end the Warhawks season. Coach Robe talked about winning the Western Division after the game, he said, "The Cajuns will now look ahead to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament that starts on Tuesday at Russo Park.
