Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun football team announced a home and home series with the Liberty Flames today.

The first game will kickoff at Cajun Field on September 7, 2019.

Two years later, the series shifts to Lynchburg, Virginia, when Liberty hosts Louisiana on November 20th, 2021.

Liberty is transitioning from FCS to FBS, and is scheduled to be an independent FBS football program beginning in 2019.

The Cajuns 2019 non-conference schedule already includes a season opening matchup at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome against Mississippi State on August 31st, as well as a road game at Ohio on September 21st and a home game against Tulsa on September 28th.

Louisiana's scheduled road game for New Mexico State in 2019 has been pushed back one year, with the Aggies now set to host the Cajuns on October 24th, 2020.
