A local prep football standout has been offered al scholarship by a state school.

A'Zyrian Alexander, an athlete from Loreauville High School, was recently extended an offer by Northwestern St.

Alexander, who plays quarterback and defensive back at Loreauville, projects at those positions, as well as receiver, at the next level.

The 6-foot-3, 165-pound Alexander, who also plays baseball at Loreauville, will begin his senior season in the fall, and is scheduled to graduate next spring.

Alexander has also reportedly been offered by Southeastern Louisiana and Mississippi College.
