The 2012 LHSAA football playoffs enter the semifinal round on Friday night with one Acadiana area team still alive.The Notre Dame Pioneers, the #2-seed in the class 3A bracket, will be on the road on Friday evening, to take on #22-seed East Feliciano, with a trip to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on the line.

With a win, Notre Dame would make their first state final appearance since the 2009 season.

In class 5A, top-seeded Archbishop Rummel will host 13th-seeded Mandeville, while second-seeded Barbe will play host to third-seeded West Monroe.

In the class 4A semifinals, top-seeded Neville will host #21-seed McDonogh #35, with second-seeded Edna Karr hosting #6-seed Holy Cross.

The other semifinal game in the class 3A bracket, opposite of the Notre Dame/East Feliciano match-up, will feature top-seeded Parkview Baptist hosting #5-seed Livonia.

Moving to the class 2A semifinals, top-seeded John Curtis will be hosting #4-seed Springfield, while second-seeded Evangel will host #3-seed University Lab.

Finally, in the class 1A semifinals, top-seeded Ouachita Christian will be hosting #5-seed Kentwood, with second-seeded Haynesville hosting #6-seed West St. John.
