LSU has had its share of injuries during fall practice.

Now, the most high-profile of the Tigers is on that list.

Ross Dellinger of The Advocate reports LSU running back Leonard Fournette suffered an ankle injury during the Tigers' 50-play scrimmage and is in a walking boot. LSU coach Les Miles classified the injury as "minor."  The coach said there was no timetable for Fournette's return.

The injury is not a "high ankle sprain" which takes longer to heal.

LSU has already lost defensive linemen Christian LaCouture and Isaiah Washington with season-ending injuries, while Corey Thompson, a presumed starter, is out for at least six weeks after fracturing his lower leg.

Darius Guice will take the reps with the first team during Fournette's absence.
