The Knight Train rolls into the Louisiana Class 1A State Championship Game thanks to Lafayette Christian Academy's 72-59 victory over Arcadia High.

Head Coach Byron Starks' Knights didn't get off to the start they wanted, trailing 28-24 at halftime. Starks didn't like the way things were headed, and whatever he said at halftime had the exact desired effect. Jacob and Kalob Ledoux started lighting it up out of the locker room, and freshman sensation Greg Williams turned up the defensive intensity to get the Knights into the up-and-down transition game they thrive in.

The Ledoux Twins absolutely took over in the second half. Fitting for a day where crowd members wore shirts with a Nike check baring the phrase, "Just Ledoux It." Jacob ended the night with 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-5 FT), but his brother stole his thunder. Kalob was simply on fire, registering 30 huge points (11-17 FG, 3-5 FG, 5-5 FT) that sparked the Knights and their fan base to completely seize momentum and carry the team to a win.

Williams continues to defy the conventions of what a freshman can do for the Knights, collecting four steals on defense, with five assists and 13 points offensively. He altered a number of shots in the victory, and he will need to play big in the next round as well if they want to pull the upset against a lengthy, skilled Madison Prep unit. They have history.

Madison Prep eliminated the Knights from the playoffs last year, which led to LCA's team motto for the year, "Unfinished Business." The Knights will certainly be looked at as the David and Madison Prep as the Goliath, but a Christian Academy should feel confident knowing how that Bible story ends.
