LSU Projected to Host Baseball Regional

The latest NCAA Regionals projection was released today by D1Baseball and LSU has moved into a host position.

But the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns aren't projected to go to Baton Rouge.

Instead, the website has the Cajuns as a #3 seed in Starkville. Mississippi State is projected to host (2) Houston and (4) Jackson State along with the Cajuns.

That site is paired with Louisville, projected to be a #5 national seed. Maryland, coached by former Cajuns' assistant John Szefc, is projected there along with Oregon and Kent State.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are now projected to be playing in Baton Rouge along with (2) Texas, (3) McNeese and (4) Binghamton. Baton Rouge is paired with #8 national seed TCU, projected to host Arkansas, UCLA and Oral Roberts.

The website updates its projections every Wednesday.
